Service Times

Mountain View Baptist Church

Mountain View is having one service at 10:00 each Sunday morning in our Family Life Center.  This allows for more individuals/families to be a part of our service while maintaining social distancing guidelines. We will have the doors open at 9:45.

All groups for Sunday School (Except nursery) are happening in our regular Sunday School classrooms in the main building at 9:00 AM. Children’s Church, during our regular worship service at 10:00, will start on August 1. Children will be checked in by their parents/guardians each Sunday morning. No Nursery at this time. Children are a blessing from God and we are glad to have children participating in our service each Sunday morning.

Services will still be live on Facebook at 10:00AM, the recording will be on the website later that day, and our parking lot broadcast on 105.5 will still be available at 10:00. The plan will undoubtedly require adjustments as we move forward. Patience and flexibility will be a necessity. A deep cleaning and sanitizing of the Family Life Center has been completed in all areas. Each week, we routinely use a disinfecting fogger to sanitize our facility.

Children 10 and up and all adults should wear masks except for those with a medical condition. (Executive Order 63)

We want all families to stay together and sit together while worshiping on our campus. The governor’s mandate is 50% capacity, so seating will be distanced in our Family Life Center. The ushers will assist you and help make sure that social distancing is followed.

A room in the ladies restroom of the Family Life Center has been provided for parents to feed, change, and calm their infants and toddlers only. Please remember that social distancing must be maintained in this area. For the safety of those using this room, only essentials will remain in the room to provide efficiency in cleaning.

There are 3 ways you may give

  1. As you enter the Family Life Center there is slot on the right hand side of the metal curtain for concessions for you to deposit your tithes/offerings.
  2. You may give online by going to this link to GIVE ONLINE.
  3. Mail to MVBC 112 Mountain View Road, Independence, VA 24348

During the time of invitation live streaming will focus on the cross and the painted stain glass, so no one is hindered from responding to the Holy Spirit. The pastor will put his mask on to help with your needs.

Prayer Request

Prayer Requests will need to be called into the Pastor by Saturday evening and have direct permission from the person requesting as their name is read online and emailed to our church family. Announcements and information will be sent by email.
