Mountain View Baptist Church Re-Opening
We plan to reopen MVBC on Sunday, June 7, 2020, with one service at 8:30 am. We will have the church open at 8:15, and to maintain social distancing, we will seat you on a first-come, first-serve basis in the sanctuary. When this capacity is reached, we will seat you in another location on campus.
There will be no Sunday School, Children’s Church, or Nursery at this time. This will allow families to sit together during worship and be blessed with the children in our service. Also, don’t forget to check out mvb-church.org under Our Ministeries, Children’s Ministry for weekly activities and updates. However, services will still be live on facebook at 8:30 am, the recording will be on the website at 11:00, and our parking lot broadcast on 94.3 will still be available. The plan will undoubtedly require adjustments as we move forward. Patience and flexibility will be a necessity. A deep cleaning and sanitizing of the entire church has been completed in all areas. You may notice some changes, but this is for quicker cleaning and sanitizing as we move forward.
Masks have been mandated by our governor and we ask that you follow the guidelines. This mandate states that masks should be worn for inside gatherings. Children 10 and up and all adults should wear masks except for those with a medical condition. (Executive Order 63)
Before entering, temperatures will be taken at the church/campus for everyone’s safety. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or above will need to remain in their car and listen to the service on 94.3 FM.
We want all families to stay together and sit together while worshiping on our campus. The governor’s mandate is 50% capacity, so seating will be limited in the sanctuary to every other pew. The ushers will assist you and help make sure that social distancing is followed.
The nursery will be provided for parents to feed, change, and calm their infants and toddlers only. Please remember that social distancing must be maintained in this area. Therefore, please return to worship as soon as possible. For the safety of those using this room, only essentials will remain in the room to provide efficiency in cleaning.
As you enter the church and go through the glass double doors there is a slot on the left wall for you to deposit your tithes/offerings.
Waving and smiling from a distance will be our time of fellowship instead of handshaking and hugging.
During the time of invitation live streaming will focus on the open door stained glass window, so no one is hindered from responding to the Holy Spirit. The pastor will put his mask on to help with your needs.
Online bulletins will project on the screen and be on the website. Prayer list requests will need to be called into Pastor by Saturday evening and have direct permission from the person requesting as their name is read online.
We will continue to provide online Children’s Ministry on our website. New activities will be posted by Sunday evenings for our Nursery through third grade.
