Parents of Children’s Church Department….
We are excited to begin preparations for the 2025 Nativity event, “Journey to the King of Kings,” scheduled for December 6th and 7th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
To help your child feel comfortable and confident during the performances, we need the commitment of all participants to the following practice schedule:
Practice Schedule for the Older Children’s Church
– Wednesday, November 19 and 26: Practice will be held at 6:40 PM with the Praise Team in the Sanctuary.
– Wednesday, December 3 (Full Costume Rehearsal): This rehearsal will take place in the Family Life Center. We will use full lighting and effects to give the children the complete experience of the night. Dinner (hot dogs and hamburgers) will be provided for those in attendance.
Performance and Photo Schedule
– Saturday, December 6 (Performance Night 1): We ask that all cast members attend. We will have one showing at 7:00 PM. Please be prepared to stay briefly afterward to discuss any remaining items of concern. All cast members must enter through the side door closest to the bus garage.
– Sunday, December 7 (Performance Night 2 and Photos): We need everyone to arrive at the church by 4:00 PM. We will begin with a group prayer in the gym at 4:00 PM, fully dressed and ready. After prayer, we will immediately run through the drama, and photos will be taken at all stations/areas.
We are faithfully working to prepare for this special opportunity and look forward to celebrating what God will do through MVBC.
OLDER CHILDREN outside of Children’s Church may participate as long as they can follow the schedule above and let Debbie768.8571 or Janie 768-8384 know ASAP ….
Costumes will be given out ASAP on a Wednesday night.
Practice Schedule for the Younger Children’s Church for the Nativity will be at 7:00 on same dates as above. Each child will have a part in representing the Live Nativity while the song Away in a Manger is sung.
Thanks for all you do as we all do for the glory of God,
Debbie Osborne & Janie Hensdell

Using the front entrance, proceed directly ahead and turn left, first door on your right, room #1. Your child will be checked in from a background checked volunteer. A sticker will be placed on their clothing and a matching sticker given to you to be shown when picking your child up.
The Children’s Church has been relocated downstairs. You can access this area from the gravel parking area then through the double doors. Check your child in and then everyone can proceed to the Worship Center upstairs. Pastor David will then dismiss the children as usual.
